The Capital Region Multiple Listing Service has Been Dissolved and it’s Assets Sold at Auction

CRMLS has been dissolved and it’s assets sold at auction today.
The new MLS owned by GCAR The Greater Capital Association of Realtors will be called the Eastern New York Regional Multiple Listing Service.

From the Business Review

The assets include the rights to data related to residential and commercial properties for sale or rent in the Capital Region.

Eastern New York Regional Multiple Listing Service will begin service Sunday. The quick turnaround is related to one of the conditions of the sale, said Daniel M. Sleasman of Albany, the attorney who acted as the receiver in the auction.

Eastern New York Regional MLS must make assurances that existing members of the CRMLS — regardless of their membership status with GCAR or the Eastern New York Regional MLS — have uninterrupted access to the data.

“I’m monitoring the situation closely to make sure there isn’t any slippage,” Sleasman said. “But it seems like it’s a smooth process.”
